Buy a Circ scooter - how it works

The sharing provider Circ offers its scooters for rent in several German cities like Berlin or Hamburg. If you don't want to borrow a scooter all the time, but prefer to buy it, we explain in our article whether this is possible with Circ.

Is it possible to buy the scooters used by Circ?

Since Circ only rents out its scooters, buying a scooter directly from the sharing provider is not possible. Nevertheless, if you would rather buy a scooter than rent it from Circ, your only option is to search for a similar model.
  1. You can get an inexpensive scooter starting at 400 euros with the IconBIT IK-1971 PRO. The black scooter has a maximum range of 20 km, reaches up to 20 km/h and requires four to five hours until the battery is fully charged again.
  2. In comparison, the SXT MAX is significantly more expensive. The up to 20 km/h fast scooter is, depending on the dealer, available from 999 euros. The SXT MAX is particularly suitable if you want to cover longer distances, as this can drive about 40 km.

Instead of buying: How to borrow a scooter at Circ

If buying a scooter is not worth it for you, because you use it only rarely, the loan of a scooter is better than buying. If Circ offers its e-scooters for rent in your city, all you need is the Circ app on your smartphone. Once you have installed the app on your mobile device, please still register with Circ and select a payment method. Then you can search for a scooter near you on the map in the app and unlock it for use by scanning the QR code.
