iPhone X: Set up email - how to do it

If you use the Mail app on the iPhone X, you have the option to connect and set up an existing email account with the Mail app. Depending on your email provider, you can set it up manually or automatically.

Email: How to make automatic setup work on iPhone X

In order to quickly access your email on your iPhone X, it is necessary that you first set up your email account in the Mail app of the device. In doing so, you can either do the setup manually or have it done automatically.

1. To set up your email account automatically, please first open the Settings app on your iPhone X and click "Add Account" under "Accounts & Passwords".
2. Select your email provider from the list of providers and enter your email address and the corresponding password.
3. Then confirm your entries with "Next" and wait until the Mail app has checked the account.
4. Now still select which information from your email account should be displayed on the iPhone X and finally click "Save" to complete the setup.

iPhone X: Set up email manually

If the automatic email setup did not work or your provider is not shown in the list of email providers, you need to set up the email account manually. To do so, navigate to "Settings" > "Accounts & Passwords" > "Add Account" > "Other" on iPhone X and click "Add Mail Account". Then enter name, email address, password and a description for the account and confirm first with "Next" and then with "Done".
