Apple Watch pictures - these possibilities exist

Even if the Apple Watch does not have its own camera, you can still use the smartwatch to take new pictures and view them in the Photos app. For this, however, you also need an iPhone paired with the Apple Watch.

How to view pictures on the Apple Watch

All the pictures you have stored in the albums on your iPhone are also available on the Apple Watch. To view them, simply open the Photos app on your smartwatch. The following actions are available to you in the Photos app on the Apple Watch:

1. To display a photo large on the display of your watch, tap on it.
2. If you want to call up more photos, you can do this by swiping to the right or left.
3. If the display of an image is too small for you, you have the option of zooming in on it. To do this, turn the Digital Crown of the Apple Watch.

How to take new pictures with the Apple Watch

In addition to being able to view existing pictures on the Apple Watch, you can also take new photos using the smartwatch. However, you will need the camera of your paired iPhone for this, as the Apple Watch does not have a built-in camera. To take a new photo, please open the camera app on the Apple Watch, point the iPhone at the subject, and press the shutter button on the Apple Watch display. To take a Live Photo with your Apple Watch instead of a normal photo, please press and hold the smartwatch display and select "Live" instead.
