Removing green cast from photos: Here's the easiest way

There's nothing worse than having taken the perfect photo and then discovering a green cast in it. In many cases, however, the green cast can be easily removed from photos using a graphics editing program.

How to remove green cast from photos?

You can easily remove green cast from photos using the free graphics editor. For example, GIMP is a free program with many features that both amateur and hobby photographers can use well.
  1. Download GIMP and install the program by double-clicking the installation file.
  2. Once the installation is successfully completed, start GIMP by double-clicking the icon that is now on your desktop.
  3. Now click "File" at the top of the menu, and then further click "Open". Navigate to the folder where the photo with the green tint is located and highlight the file. Click at the bottom of the window on "Open".
  4. Now go back to the top of the menu on "Colors > Values". In the window that now opens, set the channel to "Green" to reduce the green color values in your image.
