Android 11: Show RAM - how to do it

With the update to Android 11, numerous changes were made to the RAM management of the operating system. This mainly affects developers of new and old apps. You can also display how much of your RAM you still have available via the settings.

How to view your memory on Android 11

If you want to know which of your currently open apps are using the most memory on Android 11, or how much space you have left, you can view this through the settings. Note that the names of the buttons can differ. This is mainly because the various manufacturers once again adapt the operating system for their own purposes.

1. Go to the settings of your smartphone via the corresponding app.
2. Select the item Device in the menu and click on "Working memory". In some cases, this item may also be called "Memory" or "System Memory".
3. Now there are also various options here. Tap directly on "Working memory". Gibt es den Eintrag nicht, dann ist es notwendig, über ein Icon mit drei untereinanderliegenden Punkten ein weiteres Menü zu öffnen.
