Avira: Remove OrganiZen - how it works

With OrganiZen, Avira provides a tool designed to keep your desktop tidy. If the tool was installed without your consent, we show how you can remove it again.

No need? OrganiZen is supposed to be a helper, but is often not wanted at all.

For numerous users, OrganiZen simply shows up in the Windows context menu without being installed consciously. This is basically rarely welcome and requires a countermeasure.

Avira: How to remove OrganiZen

Proceed as follows:

1. Open "System Speedup". This can be found in Avira under "Performance" and then "More Tools".
2. Under "Settings", select the "OrganiZen" entry.
3. Uncheck "Enable OrganiZen in Windows context menu".

Afterwards, you can check whether the operation was successful by right-clicking on your Windows desktop to open the context menu. Normally, OrganiZen should no longer be present there.
