DeletingAppData\local\Temp folders - what to look for

After some time, numerous files can accumulate on your computer. These are not always needed and thus occupy storage space that you can use in other ways. Therefore, consider deleting the "AppData\Local\Temp" folder, then this is usually no problem.

How to delete the "AppData\Local\Temp" folder

The "AppData\Local\Temp" folder stores temporary files. Nevertheless, this can take up several GB of your memory. If you need free memory, then you can easily delete the contents of the folder. Only a few steps are necessary for this.

1. Press the key combination "Windows" key + "R" to open the Run dialog.
2. Enter "%temp%" without quotes in the text field and press the "Enter" key.
3. Followed by this, the file explorer will be opened directly and the temp folder will be displayed.
4. Now you can use the key combination "Ctrl" + "A" to mark all entries within the folder.
5. Now press the "Del" key to delete the marked files. If files are used by the operating system at this moment, you can not remove them at the moment.
