Google: Blur data trails - here's how to do it
Google is one of the largest corporations that stores your private data and resells it. Not only does it store your search results, but it also stores your geodata and everything else you do with your Android phone. Staying completely out of Google isn't exactly easy.
How to remove all data traces at Google
Google gives you the option to set yourself which data about you may be stored and which not. However, it is nowhere guaranteed that the data is really not stored.- On the Google activity page, you can see what activities Google has already stored from you.
- To do this, however, you must log in with your Google profile.
- Here you now get an overview of everything you have called from Google, what search queries you have made and what else you have done on Google.
- You can either delete individual entries from the log or delete the entire log and prevent a new one from being created.
- To do this, simply click on "Delete activities after" in the menu on the left and select "Total so far" and "All products". As soon as you now click on "Delete", all stored log data will be removed.
- Now you can make settings that cause Google to store less about you. To do this, go to the Activity Control page and set all options to "Do not store."
