Repairing Windows 10: Boot Manager

The boot manager integrated by Microsoft in Windows 10 allows you to use multiple operating systems simultaneously. For example, you can use Linux or an older version of Windows in addition to Windows 10. Using the boot manager, you then select at startup which of the installed systems you want to use.

How to repair the Windows 10 boot manager

If there are problems with the boot manager, you can try to repair the tool via Windows' advanced startup options."boot/fixmbr""boot/fixboot""boot/scanos "When entering the commands, always make sure to wait until the operation is complete before entering the next one.

Open advanced startup options via command prompt

If accessing the advanced startup options does not work even after repeated attempts during system startup, you can also launch the options from the normal Windows user interface. To do this, press the key combination [Windows] and [R] to start the command prompt. Type the command "shutdown -r -o" and confirm with [Enter]. Windows will then restart and load directly into the advanced startup options.
