Before you use Google Drive offline, you need to make some preparations. For example, you first need an Internet connection and the Google Chrome browser. Now install the Chrome extension for Google Docs Offline.

1. After that, log in to Chrome with your Google account. Go to the "Settings" and activate the option "Sync files from Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Presentations and Google Drawings with this computer to be able to edit them offline".
2. Now you can set up Google Drive on your computer and then use it offline.
3. Use the Android app, open it on your smartphone and go to the menu via the icon with the three dots. Here, select "Make available offline".
