Using Google Drive offline - this option is available
In Google Drive you can store numerous documents and images. If you do not always have a connection to the Internet and still want to edit the files, you can also use Google Drive offline. However, it is necessary to make some preparations beforehand.
How you can use Google Drive offline
Before you use Google Drive offline, you need to make some preparations. For example, you first need an Internet connection and the Google Chrome browser. Now install the Chrome extension for Google Docs Offline.- After that, log in to Chrome with your Google account. Go to the "Settings" and activate the option "Sync files from Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Presentations and Google Drawings with this computer to be able to edit them offline".
- Now you can set up Google Drive on your computer and then use it offline.
- Use the Android app, open it on your smartphone and go to the menu via the icon with the three dots. Here, select "Make available offline". Then the content will be downloaded and you will find the files in the individual Google applications, if you click on the icon with the three horizontal lines and then go to "Offline".
- On iOS, you must also proceed as described in point 3. Note that you can find the offline data in "Google Drive", "Google Docs" or "Google Spreadsheets".
