Microsoft Teams: Record video

Especially in times when the home office is becoming more and more standard, applications for efficient communication in an organization are essential. With Microsoft Teams, you can hold video meetings with many participants in no time. Recording is also possible.

How to record video in Microsoft Teams

After "creating a meeting, you can record it live in Teams with the click of a button. Videos can basically only be recorded by members of a team, but not by external participants.

1. During a meeting, navigate to the function bar and click on the "three-dot menu" (more options).
2. In the selection, click on "Start recording". A notification will inform all participants that the meeting is now being recorded.
3. As soon as you want to end the recording, click again on the further options and there on "Stop recording".
4. Followed by this, the recording will be processed and displayed as a link in the meeting chat or saved in the SharePoint of the channel.

If the administrator of your company has set certain guidelines for recording a Teams meeting, you must accept them before starting the recording. If you forget to stop the video recording, it will happen automatically after four hours.
