Creating a Facebook Group: It's this easy

Facebook groups are perfect for bringing like-minded people together on appropriate topics. If you want to create a group yourself, it's easy to do via the browser. We show you how to proceed.

In Facebook, you can create groups quite easily.

Create a Facebook group: Just a few clicks needed

Facebook wants its users to communicate with each other in groups. This is true both for group chats, which you can easily create yourself, and for interest groups, which can have any topic as a hook. If you want to create a Facebook group in the browser on the PC, proceed as follows:

1. Open facebook.com and log in with your account.
2. Click on the "plus icon" at the top right and select the "Group" option there.
3. An additional window will open where you can enter the name of the group and add people directly. In addition, you can set the visibility of the group there.
4. When you are done with the settings, click on the blue button "Create" at the bottom left.

Your group now exists and can be further refined and personalized, for example, with pictures, posts and new members.

How to archive a Facebook group

If you no longer use a group, but do not want to delete it completely, you can alternatively archive it. To do so, go to the corresponding group page on Facebook and click "More" in the upper right corner. Then select "Archive group" and finally click "Confirm". Members you can still view the content of the group, but nothing new can be posted.
