Android 9: Split screen - this is how easy it works
A feature on Android is to run two apps at the same time and display them on the screen. To do this, the screen is simply split. The split-screen function is made clear by a small black demarcation.
How to split the Android 9 screen?
To use the split screen on Android, you don't need to do much.- Open all current apps by tapping the "Current apps" button. This can either be placed right next to the home button or is on the screen with newer phones. It is usually marked by three vertically spaced dashes.
- Above each open app is the corresponding app icon. As soon as you tap on it, a menu opens where you have a few options to choose from. Select "Open in split screen view." Now the app is attached to the upper half of the screen and can be displayed there.
- You can display a second app in the lower half of the screen by simply tapping on the icon for another app and selecting "Open in split screen view".
- If you want to end the split screen, tap with your finger on the middle bar between the two apps and drag it either up or down. This way you can also change the proportions.
