Setting up Samsung Pay - here's how to do it

With Samsung Pay, you have the option to make mobile payments with your smartphone almost everywhere. This is intended to speed up payments at cash registers. The payment is confirmed with a fingerprint on your smartphone, a personal PIN or an iris scan. However, this depends on the Samsun smartphone you are using.

How to set up Samsung Pay on your smartphone

With Samsung Pay, you can already pay with your smartphone in countless stores in Germany. But before you can use the mobile payment method, you must first set it up.

1. You need at least Android version 4.4.4 for Samsung Pay. In addition, your smartphone must have an NFC chip, otherwise the payment method will not work.
2. Next you need to download and install the Samsung Pay app from the Google Play Store.
3. After you have started the app, log in with your Samsung account.
4. Now your fingerprint is scanned with the sensor on your smartphone and then you need to enter a security password and PIN.
5. Before you can pay with the smartphone, you must also scan a credit card with your phone, which is then used for payment.
6. Once you have scanned this, you will receive another verification key by mail, which you also enter into the app.
7. Finally, it is still necessary to deposit your signature.

The payment procedure is now set up and you can pay in selected stores with your smartphone.
