iPad is slow: Here's how to fix it
If your iPad is slow, it helps to restart the device. Restarting will delete temporary files that are often responsible for the system being slow. Get an overview of other tips to make your iPad faster again.
How to make a slow iPad faster again
If your pad no longer functions as quickly as it did at the beginning, there are a few options to speed up the device's system again. For example, you should restart your device regularly to delete leftover files, as they slow down the system.- If free space on your device is scarce, this can also make your iPad slow. Therefore, you should delete unnecessary apps.
- Instead of deleting, you can also swap out the apps. To do this, go to "Settings" > "General" > "iPad Storage" and select the apps you want to swap out. In doing so, the data and settings of the apps are retained.
- To perform a soft reset is another option. On models without a power button, briefly press the Volume Up button, then briefly press the Volume Down button before holding down the power button until you see the Apple logo. On older iPads, press and hold the Power button and Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the display.
