The Galaxy S10 series includes four differently equipped models and has been available to consumers in Germany since March 2019. Galaxy S10 and the new 5G mobile standard: The models in comparison

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is the only one of the four different models in the Galaxy S10 series that is equipped with a 5G-capable modem and can use the new mobile standard. The Galaxy S10e, the S10 and the S10+ only have LTE support.

• The Galaxy S10 5G is the first smartphone available in Germany that is equipped for the faster mobile standard.
• Apart from the 5G support, the S10 5G also differs from the other smartphones of the S10 series in terms of technical features. In addition to a larger display, Samsung has also given the S10 a time-of-flight camera, for example.
• In terms of price, the 5G version of the S10 is currently 850 euros or more.

Alternatives to the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

In addition to the S10 5G, other Samsung smartphones, such as some models from the current Galaxy S20 series, the Fold 5G or the A90 5G are now also equipped with a corresponding 5G modem. Other manufacturers like Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo or Sony also offer 5G-capable smartphones in the meantime. To date, Apple does not yet have an iPhone in its range that is equipped for the new mobile standard.
