If you have problems with your Android device, it may help to put it in safe mode. The functionality is completely limited here and you cannot use the installed apps. However, it is possible to make certain settings that are usually blocked by an app.

How to enable safe mode on Android

Your Android device can automatically put itself into safe mode when a problem occurs or the battery is too far drained. You can then delete downloaded apps and recharge the battery to fix the error. However, if you want to intentionally switch to safe mode, this is also possible.

1. Turn off your Android smartphone and remove the battery.
2. Then wait a few seconds before putting the battery back into the device.
3. Start your smartphone while holding down the power button until a message appears on the screen.
