Setting up Firefox home page: How to do it

Firefox wants to give you a customized user experience. Part of that is being able to set up the Firefox home page however you like. We'll show you how many ways to do that.

With a Firefox start page you set yourself, you can get started right away in the right place on the Web.

Setting Firefox start page: a simple mouse movement is all it takes

After you have downloaded and installed Firefox in the 32-bit version or in the 64-bit version, you can set up a new start page. Simply proceed as follows:
  1. First, open the web page that you want to set as the start page.
  2. Then drag the tab with the left mouse button pressed on the start page icon, which you recognize in the Firefox toolbar as the house icon.
  3. Firefox now asks them for security, whether you really want to set this page as the start page. Click "Yes".
  4. Alternatively, the setting of the home page is also possible via the menu by going to "Settings" > "Home Page" in it and select one of the available options from the drop-down menu next to "Home Page and New Windows".
The setup of the home page is already completed. In addition, Firefox gives you more options to start the browser, such as a blank page or the windows and tabs of the last session. You can set this by clicking on the Firefox menu button with the three horizontal bars, then on "Settings" and then on "General". There you will find the two options mentioned above in the drop-down menu next to "When Firefox starts".

How to set up multiple Firefox start pages at the same time

It doesn't have to stay with one start page, though. If you open multiple pages in their own tab and tap "Custom Address" first under "Settings" > "Start Page" and then "Use Current Pages", those pages will open automatically every time Firefox starts up.
