Turning on the iPad - how to start the device

What to look for when you turn on iPad?

• If the screen is dark even though you pressed the home button, it could either be that your iPad is off or the battery is dead. Connect your iPad to the power supply. If only the charging icon appears for an extended period of time and the iPad does not start on its own, the device is off. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears. Now the device will restart.
• If you now want to turn the pad off again, simply press and hold the power button again until the power off icon appears. Slide the button to the right, and the iPad turns off.
• Attention: When shutting down, all processes and apps are terminated. So save all data before you turn off the iPad.
