If you want to align your created text in Adobe InDesign to the baseline grid of the program, you can do this by selecting the Text tool. To do this, first select the lines of text you want to align and click on the paragraph mark before going to "Align" > "Align to baseline grid" in the Paragraph panel menu.

Auto align text to baseline grid: How to create a paragraph format

To avoid manually aligning individual lines or each paragraph to the baseline grid, it is helpful to have the program do this automatically. You can do this by creating a new paragraph style.
  1. To do this, place the cursor in your text and navigate to "Window" > "Styles" > "Paragraph Styles" in the menu bar.
  2. In the window that opens, click the "Indents and Spacing" tab and select "Align to Grid" from the options there.
  3. To align all text to the baseline grid to which you assign the template you just created, also check the "All Lines" option.
