Kanban card: template - what you should consider

The word "Kanban" comes from Japanese and means something like "card" or "shield". Thereby, a kanban card is supposed to be the signal to indicate changes. Therefore, it is used, for example, in production as a sign to continue the production or replenishment process.

What to look for in Kanban card templates

Kanban cards are used especially in the pull principle, where the cards are attached to empty containers or storage areas to be refilled. Meanwhile, this physical card has been replaced by an electronic Kanban card, which is called "eKanban".

• Kanban cards can be created both on the basis of a template in Excel, but can also be created software-supported.
• This means that a new card does not have to be created for each item that is to be controlled by it, but you can conveniently use a template for it.
