The streaming service provider reveals how Netflix itself envisions account sharing in its T&Cs. The following Netflix gives you:

• In the T&Cs Netflix has enshrined that you may legally share your account. When registering, you can choose between different models that allow you to access different numbers of profiles. According to the profiles, you may share the account exclusively with members of your household.
• Allerding you need so far for logging into your account only the password and email address. Only if more users use your account than you have profiles available, the login no longer succeeds.
• Because Netflix so far does not use two-factor authentication or a location query, you can currently share your account with friends who are outside your household.

Netflix aims to make changes

Netflix has already announced that account sharing will be restricted. Because the company is aware that many people share an account without belonging to a common household. How Netflix wants to stop this practice is not yet known. However, the streaming provider has already announced consequences for unauthorized users. One variant is that in this case you can be charged the cost of your own basic account from Netflix.
