How can I access my FritzBox from outside?

You are not always at home when access to your own router is necessary. Especially if you already have a media server set up on the router, wouldn't it be handy to be able to access it from outside? Fortunately, this works quite easily.

How can I access my FritzBox from outside? This is how it works

In order to access your FritzBox from outside, you need to use a special service. This is called "MyFRITZ!" and is practically another user interface.
  1. Open a browser of your choice and enter [myfritz.net] in the address line. Then confirm with [Enter].
  2. For the following steps to work, you must have previously created an account with the service. Now enter your credentials so that you can access the user interface.
  3. Finally solve the captcha.
  4. Now you can click on the router you want to access in the device overview.
  5. Enter the password you used when setting up your FritzBox and finally click "Login".
