Update apps automatically: These steps are necessary
To always be able to use the latest features of your apps, you need to update them regularly. You can either do this manually or have the apps update automatically when a new update is released. Depending on which operating system your smartphone has, the procedure differs.
How to update your apps automatically
Updating usually involves closing security holes, fixing bugs and adding features. For this reason, it is important to install them regularly. If you don't always want to update your apps manually, you can also have them updated automatically.- If you want to have your apps updated automatically on Android, you can set this in the Google Play Store.
- Open the Play Store app on your smartphone and tap the icon with the three dashes below it to open the menu. Then select the item "Settings". Here you will find the item "Automatic app updates". Activate this and select whether the update should be carried out via any network or only when connected to a WLAN network.
- You can also only have individual apps updated automatically. To do this, go to "Menu" > "My Apps and Games" and select the corresponding app. Tap on the three dots and activate "Auto update on".
- If you have an iPhone with iOS 13, then your apps will be updated automatically without the need for an additional setting.
- Under "Settings" tap on your profile name. Then go to "iTunes & App Store". Here you can enable or disable automatic updates.
