FritzBox: Set up remote access - here's how

The FritzBox offer you other functions besides connecting to the Internet. If you want to access your files within your home network from anywhere, the FritzBox offers you remote access. Before you can use this, you need to set up the function.

How to set up remote access on your FritzBox

Your FritzBox offers you all the functions you need to set up your home network the way you want. How big the range of functions is depends on the model you choose. Would you like to access the files in your home network from the outside, then you can set up remote access on your FritzBox.

1. Open your browser to get to the user interface of your FritzBox.
2. Now log in with your access data.
3. Click on the left side on the menu item "Internet". Then select "MyFritz account".
4. Activate here the option "MyFritz! Active for this FRITZ!Box" and then click on "Other FritzBox account".
5. In the next step, select "Create new MyFritz! account". Enter the required data such as email address and password. Follow the further instructions and confirm them by clicking the "Next" button.
6. You will now receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you specified earlier. Klicken Sie in der E-Mail auf die rote Schaltfläche „MyFRITZ!-Registrierung bestätigen“.
7. Nun sehen Sie eine Bestätigung, dass die Registrierung abgeschlossen wurde.
8. Möchten Sie nun den Fernzugriff nutzen, melden Sie sich auf „www.myfritz.net“ mit Ihren Anmeldedaten an.
