Steam Remote Play: We introduce the feature
Steam now includes many features that make the game client a multimedia and streaming platform. Among them is the possibility of Remote Play. Steam Remote Play replaces the previous in-home streaming. The most important difference is that Remote Play does not only work in the local network.
This is Steam Remote Play
You can find Steam Remote Play by clicking on "Steam" in the menu, opening "Settings" there and then selecting "Remote Play". Here you then select the item "Enable Remote Play" on the right side. It is also possible to pair the Steam Link and allow direct connections via this window.- With Remote Play, you can stream games from your PC to other devices.
- To do this, you need to log in with your Steam account on the other device.
- While the stream used to work only in the local network, it is now also possible online.
- A good bandwidth is even more important.
- In addition to playing from the PC on the TV, you can also use Remote Play Together. Thus, it is possible to start multiplayer games with friends, without any extra cost to you.
- Only one player of the group needs the title and can then play with up to four other people. Provided these have a Steam account.
