YouTube TV: Germany launch planned?

With YouTube TV, the video platform wants to revolutionize conventional television. So far, the service is only available in the US. YouTube TV takes up where traditional TV programming has dominated the market so far. Although the platform has been around since 2017, a German launch is not yet in sight.

YouTube TV is competing with classic television and could one day come to Germany as well.

YouTube TV: Germany launch not an issue for now

YouTube TV is a streaming platform that lets you watch U.S. channels over the Internet. Comparable portals in Germany are Waipu.tv or TVNow. The service offered by Google back in 2017 is currently only available in the US.
  • On YouTube TV there is live television from over 40 channels, including all the well-known names such as Fox, NBC, ESPN and CBS.
  • In the cloud you can record as many shows as you want.
  • The offer cost $ 35 per month. The cancellation is possible monthly. However, new customers must already pay $ 49.99 per month.
  • Per subscription, six profiles can be created. YouTube TV would like to address the whole family.
  • The transmission takes place exclusively via online stream and is compatible with PCs, mobile devices and televisions.
On a possible German launch, YouTube has not yet commented. The service has already been in operation in the U.S. since the beginning of 2017 and it is obvious that YouTube would first like to measure and optimize the success in the domestic market. If everything goes according to plan, expansion to Europe should probably only be a matter of time, as has been the case with virtually all YouTube projects.
