To make changes to the launch options of a Steam game, the client offers you various options. However, before you can change anything in the launch options for specific games, you need to open them.- To do this, first launch the Steam client and search for the game you want to make changes for.
- Right-click on the game and select "Properties" from the context menu.
- In the window that opens, then go to the "General" tab and click "Set launch options...".
Steam: You can set these launch option changes
Once you have opened the launch options as described above, you can change them by entering the launch parameters in the corresponding field and confirming with "OK". It is also possible to enter multiple startup parameters if you separate them with a space.- To activate the developer mode, please enter "dev" as the startup option.
- On the other hand, if you always want to play in fullscreen mode or windowed mode, this can be done by entering "fullscreen" or "windowed" respectively.
- Also changes to the resolution ("w <width>" or "h <height>"), the refresh rate ("refresh <rate>") and the color depth ("16bpp" or "32bpp) are possible via the startup options.
