Excel: Show menu - these options are available

In the Excel spreadsheet program, there are numerous functions available for creating your tables and charts. You can access them with the help of the ribbon menu. If the menu is no longer displayed, simply show it again using the appropriate function.

How to show the menu in Excel again

Using the ribbon in Excel, you can reach all the functions you need to create your tables and charts. If the menu is no longer displayed for some reason, you can show it again in a few steps.
  1. If the ribbon is not displayed, it is usually simply hidden. If you want to show it again for a short time to access certain functions, go to a tab of your choice such as "Start" or "Insert".
  2. If you want to keep the menu permanently displayed, you have to click on the arrow located in the lower right corner of the menu.
  3. To customize various display options of the menu, navigate to the options.
  4. To do this, click on the icon with the arrow pointing upwards in the upper right corner. This allows you to open the ribbon display options.
  5. Here you select the "Show Tabs and Commands" item to display all the features of the ribbon. In addition, you can choose to show only the "Tabs" or to "Hide the ribbon automatically". The latter is useful if you need a larger screen area.
