Apple Pay: Add a card - here's how
In order to use Apple Pay on your iPhone, you must add a credit or debit card when setting up the payment service. You're not limited to just one card here; you can add more cards after the fact or replace the card you specified during setup.
How to add a new card to Apple Pay
All the credit and debit cards you use with Apple Pay are stored and can be managed in the Wallet app. Follow these steps to add a new card from your iPhone or iPad to the Wallet:- Open the Wallet app and tap the plus icon or "Add."
- Then select your bank and follow the bank's instructions. As soon as the verification is complete, the new card is available in Wallet.
Change Apple Pay default card - how it works
If you have several cards stored in Wallet that are compatible with Apple Pay, you can set a default card in the settings.- To do this, call up the system settings of your iPhone or Mac and switch to the category "Wallet & Apple Pay".
- Scroll down on the iPhone to the category "Transaction defaults". There you will find the "Default Card" option, which you can use to select one of the stored cards.
- If you are on the Mac, select the desired card on the left of the list and use the drop-down menu at the bottom of the window to select "Default Card.
