Jira: Change language - how to do it

How to change the language in Jira

Changing the language in Jira works similarly easy as the language settings of Google Chrome:

1. Log in to your Jira account and click on the profile icon in the upper right corner.
2. In your profile page, click on the "pencil icon" on the right under the "Settings" menu item.
3. Now a window opens with different setting options.
4. Click on the small arrow in the menu item "Language" and select a preferred language for using Jira.
5. Complete the process by clicking on "Update". The selected language is now saved as the default language of your Jira account.

While the company's Jira administrator can set a default language, you can configure the language setting for your account quite flexibly yourself. You can choose from many standard languages such as English, French, Japanese, Spanish or Polish. Changing the keyboard language also works via keyboard shortcut in a few steps.
