The Witcher series is one of the absolute gaming highlights in recent history. Due to the huge popularity of the story around Geralt of Riva, Netflix has now brought the fantastic world to the TV screen. However, the series is based on the books.

The Witcher: Season 2 of the TV series already actively planned

Since many film adaptations of computer games fail to live up to fans' expectations, concern spread in the gaming camp alongside anticipation. It should be noted, however, that the series, like the games, is based on the books about the Witcher. For this reason, there are some differences between the game and the series.

• According to producer Lauren S. Hissrich, however, there is no reason to worry, because she promised that the series should remain as close to the story as possible. Ultimately, this has also succeeded in many respects.
• The cast led to much joy among fans of the series. Especially Henry Cavill as Geralt of Riva convinced. Also in front of the camera were Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Joey Batey as Knightspur.
• The series started with the first season on December 20, 2019. The second season, on the other hand, is to be released this year at the earliest, so 2021. Production already started in August 2020.
• When the series was released, all episodes already came at once on Netflix. So many could watch through the series in one piece.
