The Witcher: Netflix series soon ready to air

The fantasy genre is popular worldwide, The Witcher is one of the most successful computer games of all time. The adaptation of the story by Netflix is thus only logical and raises high hopes.

The film adaptation of The Witcher saga will soon be coming to home cinemas worldwide thanks to Netflix.

We already reported on the Netflix series when it was announced. In the meantime, production is well advanced and a broadcast is on the horizon.

The Witcher: Netflix series coming in December

The filming of the first season

• Netflix has officially confirmed that the series will start in December 2019.
• An exact date as well as a trailer are still missing, but it is considered likely that the potential hit will start before Christmas.
• The season will have eight episodes.
• The main role of the sorcerer Geralt of Riva takes Henry Cavill, known for his Superman role. Freya Allan plays Geralt's foster daughter Ciri, Anya Chalotra slips into the role of Yennefer.

Witcher fans can also look forward to new stories, as the plot of the books is not exactly taken over. The creative freedom allows new directions, at the same time it is quite possible that some familiar plot lines will occur. The audience thus hopes for a successful mix and due to the great anticipation, Netflix is well advised to deliver the usual level.
