Apps to determine insects - that's the name of the big crawler!

If you are interested in insects or just want to know which bug has strayed into your apartment, you have the possibility to find out with an app. There are various apps that work differently. In this article, we will introduce you to some of them.

These apps can be used to identify insects

At the moment, there are three different apps that are very suitable for identifying beetles.

1. "Map Of Life": The Map of Life consists of a large database in which more than 30,000 species are listed. This includes not only insects, but also reptiles, mammals and birds. To do this, the app first determines your location and then shows you all the animals that are native to that region. However, you also have the option to select the location yourself and then have all the animals displayed. So you don't necessarily need to share your location. The app does not have photo recognition.
2. The second app is called "Determine insects and butterflies". In this application, you can specify the characteristics of the insect and then search for the creepy-crawly. Die App bietet dafür eine Vielzahl an hochauflösenden Bildern, mit denen das Bestimmen einfach fällt.
