AirPods: Change name - how to edit the name

When you pair your AirPods with an iOS device of your choice, they are given a name. If you want to change the name, this is possible at any time via the settings of your device. All you need is the mobile device you paired your headphones with.

How to change the name of your AirPods

If you want to use your AirPods, you first need to pair them with a mobile iOS device of your choice via Bluetooth connection. After that, you can customize them to your liking via your device's settings. You also change the name of the AirPods via the settings.

1. First, you need to open the charging case of your AirPods so that they turn on and connect to the mobile device you paired the headphones with.
2. Now take your smartphone or tablet in hand and open the "Settings".
3. Here you then select the menu item "Bluetooth".
4. Here you will see a list of all devices that are connected to the device via Bluetooth.
5. Next to the entries is an i-icon in blue. Tippen Sie auf das Icon, das sich neben dem Eintrag mit den AirPods befindet.
