Smart Lock: Set up trusted location

You can add trusted locations using the Smart Lock feature on your Android device. These are locations where you don't need a lock function. So, for example, if you save your home as a trusted location, you will no longer need to unlock the phone here. The prerequisite is that you have GPS permanently enabled.

How to add trusted locations

Trusted locations are locations where you don't need to lock your smartphone because you are in a secure environment. If you normally lock your phone with a code or pattern, you can simply turn it on and use it in a trusted location. For a trusted location to be detected, GPS must be enabled.

Add a new location

1. Swipe down the event bar by swiping down from the top and enable GPS by tapping the corresponding icon.
2. Öffnen Sie die Einstellungen an Ihrem Android-Gerät.
3. Wählen Sie „Sicherheit“.
4. Tippen Sie auf „Smart Lock“ und dann auf „Vertrauenswürdige Orte“.
5. Gehen Sie zu „Vertrauenswürdigen Ort hinzufügen“.
6. Um Ihren aktuellen Standort zu markieren, tippen Sie unten rechts in der Ecke auf die kleine Zielscheibe.
7. Um einen anderen Ort zu markieren, ziehen Sie die Karte mit den Fingern zurecht oder geben Sie eine Adresse im Suchfeld ein.
8. Wenn Sie den Standort gefunden haben, tippen Sie unten auf „Diesen Standort auswählen“.
9. Bestätigen Sie die Änderungen, indem Sie nochmals auf „Auswählen“ tippen.
10. Bestätigen Sie zuletzt die GPS-Koordinaten, in dem Sie auf „OK“ tippen.
