Chrome: Show passwords - how to do it

Although you often don't realize it, Google Chrome stores many of your passwords so you can log in faster. However, if you don't use your device alone, it can be useful to have an overview of which passwords are stored directly with Chrome.

How to get an overview of your passwords

Once you know which passwords are stored in Chrome, you can sort specifically which data you prefer to remove.
  1. Call Chrome and click on the three dots you find in the upper right corner. This will open the settings.
  2. Now select the item "Passwords" so that a new window opens. Here you get an overview.
  3. You will now see a list of all websites for which Google Chrome has stored a password.
  4. The passwords are now displayed encrypted. Next to it you will see an eye symbol. As soon as you click on it, a new window opens in which you have to enter your Windows password.
  5. After you have confirmed this, you can clearly see the password.
  6. If you want to remove a password, then click on the three dots placed right next to it. Now you can have Chrome delete the password or view details about it.

What alternative do you have?

Instead of removing the essential passwords from Chrome, you can create a separate user interface for each user and secure it. This way you will have to remember fewer passwords and still protect your privacy.
