Play Store doesn't load - what you can do

If you want to install or update apps on your Android smartphone, you can't get around the Google Play Store. Accordingly, it is annoying when the store does not work without errors. However, with the right tricks, this problem can be quickly fixed in most cases.

How to get the Play Store working again

If the Play Store does not load properly, this is often due to a problem with the Internet connection. Therefore, the first thing you should do is check the connection quality and speed. This works, for example, with a speed test that you can perform via your browser.
  • If the problem persists, it can also help if you reconnect to the WLAN network. Alternatively, switch to mobile data.
  • From time to time, a problem with the Play Store app itself can also be the reason why it does not load properly. Restarting the application is sufficient in such a case to remedy the situation. To do so, open the "Recently used apps" view and tap on the Play Store app icon for a few seconds. The app info will then open, where you will find the "Stop" option.
  • If the Play Store still does not load, you should clear the cache of the app. Like the restart, this also works via the app info.
In addition to problems with your own Internet connection, the app or the smartphone, the cause may lie with Google itself. Liegt dort nämlich eine Störung vor, kann es auch zu Problemen mit dem Store kommen.
