iPhone X: Delete photos - how it works

If you have accumulated a lot of photos on your iPhone X, you can delete them directly in the device's Photos app. The correct procedure for deleting the photos depends on whether you want to delete all or just individual photos. We'll show you how it works.

This is how you delete photos from your iPhone X

Over time, a lot of photos accumulate on the iPhone X. If you no longer need certain photos, or if you have already transferred the photos to your computer, it is recommended that you delete them from your iPhone.
  1. To delete individual photos, open the Photos app on your iPhone X, select the photo and tap the "Trash icon" to delete it.
  2. To delete multiple photos, tap "Select" in the Photos app and select all the photos you want to delete. Then click the "Trash icon" and confirm the deletion by tapping "Delete Photos".
  3. Please note that the deleted photos will not be completely removed from the device immediately. Instead, they are moved to the album "Recently deleted" and remain stored for another 30 days.

iPhone X: With this method you delete photos permanently

If you do not want to wait until the photos are permanently deleted after 30 days, you have the option to delete them permanently before. To do this, navigate to the Photos app on your iPhone X and look for the album titled "Recently Deleted" in the "Albums" tab. Open the album and after tapping "Select", select all the photos you want to remove from the device. Finally, tap "Delete" to complete the process.
