Tinder: Retrieve messages - this is how it works

If you want to exchange messages with other users on the dating platform Tinder, this only works if you have formed a match. Otherwise, you have no way to write to other Tinder users.

• You can find your messages by tapping on the speech bubble icon in the top right corner of the Tinder app. There you will find an overview of your matches and the associated chats.
• If you want to delete messages in Tinder, this works only conditionally. Individual messages, for example, can not be removed. However, you have the option to delete the entire chat history by dissolving a match.
• Be aware that if you dissolve a match, the correspondence and the match cannot be restored. To resolve a match, simply call up the chat and tap on the flag icon in the iOS version and on the ellipsis icon in Android and select "Resolve Match".

Messages disappeared - this may be the reason

From time to time it happens that messages simply disappear. The reason for this can be a technical malfunction or a problem on the part of Tinder.
