The boss battles in Valheim are not only challenging and fun, but each mark important progress points in the game. Thus, they serve as a common thread and for that reason alone, an overview doesn't hurt.

Valheim: These five bosses you have to defeat

At the start of Early Access, there are a total of five bosses in different biomes:

1. Eikthyr in the Shire Forest (see guide here)
2. The Ancient One in the Black Forest (tips on how to fight it)
3. Bone Swine in the Swamp
4. Moder in the Mountains
5. Yagluth in the Plains

Each of the bosses is important, as it unlocks certain new features - thus, no progress is possible without boss battles. Through Eikthyr, for example, you get the first pickaxe, with which you can subsequently mine tin and copper.You should therefore not tackle the bosses too late, but also not too early, as it is advisable to go into battle only well equipped.
