Android: Instant Apps - what's behind the concept

In the Google Play Store there are numerous apps that can be useful to you in various areas. If you do not want to install an application directly, then you have the option to test it beforehand with the so-called "Instant Apps" for Android.

Instant Apps are applications that you can download and test on Android. There is no installation required in the process. So if you don't like the app, you don't have to uninstall it separately. As soon as you close the app, it will be removed from your device. Not every app is available as an instant app, but they are clearly marked in the Google Play Store.

1. Instant apps can be found in the Google Play Store. You can recognize these by the fact that you will find a button with "Try now" on the app page. As soon as you tap on it, the app already opens and you can try it out.
2. If you liked the test, you can then download the application via the store and install it on the device.
3. The developers of the app decide how extensively the application can be tested. This can therefore turn out very different. In most cases, it is the tutorial or the first level.
4. In the notification center, you can also see whether the app you just opened is an instant app.
