InstaMessage: Delete account - how to do it

With the help of InstaMessage you can send messages to your followers on Instagram and also receive messages yourself. If you no longer use InstaMessage and therefore want to delete your account, we'll show you the options available to you here.

This procedure will delete your InstaMessage account

Thanks to InstaMessage, you not only have the ability to post photos and comment on them on Instagram, but you can also chat with your followers via direct message. If you no longer use InstaMessage, you can delete your account at any time, but you won't find an option to do so in the app.

1. To delete your InstaMessage account anyway, please uninstall the app from your smartphone.
2. After that, also delete the regular Instagram app from your smartphone.
3. When you reinstall Instagram afterwards and log in, InstaMessage should no longer be there.
4. If this method of deletion did not work, alternatively contact InstaMessage support, which you can reach at the email address "[email protected]".

How to disconnect InstaMessage from Instagram

If you were unable to delete your account using the methods described above, there is an alternative option to deny InstaMessage access to your Instagram account. To use this method, please open Instagram in the browser and click on your profile icon.
