Create YouTube Info Card: How it works

YouTube offers quite a few ways to add more features to your videos. Especially popular and practical are the info cards, where you have numerous variants at your disposal. You can easily add these to your content via YouTube Studio in just a few steps.

How to create a YouTube info card

Info cards in YouTube are additional text elements that you can include in your video. You can choose from several features, for example external links, a poll or a video reference. The procedure is always the same, regardless of the variant. For example, you can add an info card of the type "Link" in a few steps.

1. Open your video in the video overview of YouTube Studio.
2. Then select the video to which you want to add an info card.
3. Click on the right side on the entry "Info cards".
4. On the left side you will now see various options such as "Video", "Playlist", "Channel" or "Link".
5. To add an info card, click next to the corresponding entry on the plus icon.
6. In the new window, then enter the link URL in the address field provided. Keep in mind that you can only link to pages that are linked to your channel.
7. Then click "Next".
8. Play the video again. A field with the link should now appear in the video window.

For the other info card variants, proceed analogously. Of course, you can also include several info cards in your video. However, make sure that the content of the video does not move too much into the background.
