For planetary exploration in No Man's Sky it doesn't always have to be the spaceship. In fact, there are ground vehicles for this purpose. We explain which exo-vehicles are available and what makes them different.

Exo vehicles are an effective way to get around planets.

Since the Beyond update, there is a first-person perspective for exo vehicles, which is very popular with many players.

No Man's Sky: Three exo vehicles available

In No Man's Sky, you can unlock three exo vehicles:

• Nomad: The smallest yet fastest and most maneuverable exo-vehicle. Accordingly, it also has the least storage space. An acceleration module is already pre-installed.
• Roamer: The medium-sized Exo vehicle is a good all-rounder, as it is average in all areas.
• Colossus: The Colossus lives up to its name. It offers a lot of storage space and has a long range. A mining laser is already on board. For this, the Colossus is not as maneuverable as its smaller counterparts.

You get the exo-vehicles by building the respective platforms. At these you can also call the vehicle if it is not on site. Thus, you never need more than one exo-vehicle of each type, as you can summon the vehicles on other planets once the platform is built.
