F1 2020: These new features are on board - an overview

Due to the corona-related delay, F1 2020 will be released even before the start of the real Formula 1 season. But that's not the only reason why the upcoming Codemasters title is eagerly awaited.

F1 2020: Overview of innovations

The list of new elements and improvements reads as follows:

• The most important new feature is the "MyTeam" mode: In this mode, you can create your own Formula 1 team for the first time and have to manage all matters, such as engine suppliers and sponsors. Along the way, of course, you also drive yourself.
• With Zandvoort (Netherlands) and Hanoi (Vietnam), two brand-new, real tracks celebrate their premiere. Both courses come from the pen of the German architecture firm Tilke, which was responsible for a large part of all new tracks in the F1 modern era.
• If desired, you can drive in addition to the full season with 22 races also shortened variants with ten or 16 races.
• The split-screen mode returns: You can drive on the couch locally against your friends.
• The junior series Formula 2 is now fully playable. In turn, the story elements have been removed from the career mode.
• The eSports area has been greatly expanded, competitive online racing becomes accessible.
• The driving mechanics have been changed in some aspects, so that they are at the same time more realistic and easier to learn. This concerns especially the energy recovery system (ERS).
• In the beginner mode, beginners benefit from a simplified control.
