If you get the error "Photos could not be saved" in Google Photos, this can have different causes. A common error is an insufficient Internet connection, which is necessary for synchronization.

1. First, check if your device is connected to the Internet. The backup of your pictures can only be done if you can connect.
2. Try to connect to the WLAN. This works through the device's settings.
3. If the Internet connection is established and the error still appears, open the app.
4. Then go to "Wizard". At the message "Waiting for connection", click on it to check the connection settings.
5. If the message "Backup and sync are disabled" appears, you need to enable the option. You do this by clicking on the message.
6. Also pay attention to the maximum size of the pictures and videos. These may be a maximum of 75 MB in size. For videos, the maximum is 10 GB.
7. Also perform all necessary system updates of your Android device.
