Google Play Store: remove devices - how to do it

Over the years, you register more and more devices in the Play Store, which are then linked to your account. In this case, it is advisable to delete the devices that you no longer use or own. This will make the web version of the Play Store clearer and easier to use.

How to remove devices from the Google Play Store

Old devices cannot be completely removed from the Google Play Store. However, you have the option to no longer display them in the list. If you want to remove a device, you need to unlink your Google account to that device.
  1. Open an Internet browser of your choice and go to the Google Play Store website.
  2. Log in with your user details by clicking "Sign in" at the top right and entering your account details.
  3. Now click again at the top right on the gear wheel and further on "My Devices" to get an overview of your devices.
  4. Under the item "Visibility" you can now select which devices should be visible in the enumeration and which not.
  5. If you want to remove a device completely, you have to unlink it from your Google account. To do this, open the device management.
  6. Click on "Remove" for the respective device so that it is removed from the list of your devices and the link is removed.
