Since the release of the first Pokémon game in 1996, the game has appeared in several other editions for the Nintendo and Gameboy. With Pokémon GO, available since 2016, there is also a Pokémon game that you can play on your iPhone or Android smartphone. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a way to also play Pokémon online in your browser, there is so far only one official Internet game, the "Pokémon Trading Card Game Online (TCGO)". The first version of the online card game was released on March 24, 2011, and was followed by another version in 2012, which you can also download to PC or Mac.

How to play Pokémon Trading Card Game Online

The online version of Pokémon Trading Card Game works exactly like the regular trading card game, except that you compete online against another player or against a virtual computer opponent.

1. At the beginning of the game, each player receives 60 Pokémon cards and an automatic coin toss is used to decide which player will start.
2. Now, turn by turn, the two players take turns performing different actions by playing the different cards by dragging and placing them with the mouse.
