Squadron 42: These actors are on board

Squadron 42 will be the solo spin-off of Star Citizen and is supposed to offer a cinematic experience. To that end, prominent actors have been signed on. We name the familiar faces.

Rank and names: Squadron 42 will be a collection of Hollywood stars.

Squadron 42 is also far from finished, but will be released much sooner than Star Citizen. At the moment, a 2021 release sounds realistic.

These actors are involved in Squadron 42

Cloud Imperium Games has not been stingy with the actors for Squadron 42:
  • Mark Hamill probably needs no further explanation among sci-fi fans: He played Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars".
  • Henry Cavill is known as Superman and also slips into the lead role in the Netflix series "The Witcher."
  • Gary Oldman is anyway one of the best-known Hollywood swashbucklers.
  • Gillian Anderson became world famous as FBI agent Dana Scully in "The X-Files."
  • Liam Cunningham achieved cult status as Ser Davos Seaworth in "Game of Thrones".
  • Andy Serkis face is rather unknown, but the name is not, as he acted behind the CGI role of Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings".
  • John Rhys-Davies has a long acting resume, but his most important role was Gimli in "The Lord of the Rings."
  • Mark Strong is also known to a wide audience, especially in the U.S.
And that's not the end of the list, because names like Ben Mendelssohn, Rhona Mitra and Sophie Wu complete the lineup. With this collection of notable actors, Squadron 42 surpasses most blockbuster movies; with a total of around ten hours of cutscenes, the stars have enough playtime to shine.
